Lovers of low budget exploitation film will not be disappointed with this biker flick. Made in two weeks for American International Pictures it was given the thumbs up by Sonny Barger, president of the Hells Angels of Northern California, who acted as technical adviser although he was no doubt referring to the film's mindless violence rather than its cinematic qualities.
Despite its evident limitations as filmic art it is notable for early manifestations of Laszlo Kovacs' photography and Jack Nicholson's acting (both who would team up together again in Easy Rider and The King of Marvin Gardens) whilst Richard Rush would go on to make the far superior The Stunt Man.
