Handle With Care
This made-for-television, semi-educational film written by Anne Brooksbank about women with breast cancer effectively brings home the subject through recreating the story of two women, Kate (Anna Maria Monticelli) and Margret (Monica Maughan). Interspersed with this are interview-like situations with a variety of different women reporting their encounter with the disease. Made for an evidently small budget and well-dated particularly in the women's wardrobe, it is an empathic treatment of the subject that makes palpable the issues without melodramatizing them. Originally released at 90m it was edited for video release to 67m.
