Constantine

In the final analysis Constantine is quite a wearing affair both in terms of following the rollercoaster storyline and withstanding the intensely kinetic visuals but if graphic novel fantasy is your thing this will probably impress.

DVD Extras: A substantial 2 disc set includes a commentary by director Lawrence, producer Akiva Goldsman and screenwiters Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, Disc 1 also has A Perfect Circle's Passive music video and theatrical trailers. Disc 2 has 18 mins of deleted scenes including an alternative ending which, usefully, come with a director's commentary, as does Foresight: The Power of Pre-Visualization which looks at the some of the computer-based preparation for the movie and The Production From Hell which looks at the mechanics of shooting the film. Conjuring Constantine is a standard promotional featurette with crew interviews; Imagining The Underworld looks at the technical transposition of the comic book drawing to big screen visualization whilst Constantine Cosmology offers a 5 minute account of the ideas behind the movie's story. With English captions for the hearing-impaired.
